Meet The Staff

Ian Slattery, PT, DPT, OCS

Ian is the founder and owner of The Glute Institute, bringing over 15 years of experience as a Doctor of Physical Therapy to his practice. Having completed an orthopedic residency and earning his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist  (OCS) certification, Ian has dedicated his career to helping individuals regain strength, mobility and confidence in their bodies. 

Recognizing a gap in care for patients after completing physical therapy, Ian set out to create a space where clients could continue their progress, build functional strength and prevent injuries. What began as a mission to bridge this gap has grown into a comprehensive training facility that serves clients of all ages and fitness levels-from those recovering from injury to individuals looking to move, feel and perform at their best. 

Beyond his work at The Glute Institute, Ian is passionate about staying active, training with purpose, and helping others do the same. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, embodying the same balance of movement and well-being that he encourages in his clients.

Cailin Vuolo, PT, DPT, OCS, CMTPT


With 15 years experience as a physical therapist and a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), she is passionate about helping clients build strength, prevent injury and move with confidence. Her approach to training is rooted in functional strength and injury prevention, ensuring that each program is tailored to individual needs and goals.

As a wife and mom of two active girls, she understands the importance of staying strong and healthy for the demands of daily life. She loves staying active herself and believes that fitness should be sustainable, empowering and enjoyable. Whether you're recovering from an injury, looking to improve performance, or simply wanting to feel better in your body, Cailin is here to help you move better and live stronger.

"I first started working out with Cailin at the Glute Institute after a pretty bad disc herniation in my lower back.  When my time with physical therapy was over, I was looking for a way to get back to working out, but in a safe and controlled environment. The Glute Institute was recommended to me and I could not be happier with the progress that I have made during my time with Cailin. With her background in Physical Therapy, she is extremely knowledgeable as to which exercises would best help me to improve at a steady rate. Each session begins with a check in about any issues I may be experiencing, especially with my joints. We then go through a warm-up and then a series of exercises which are challenging to just the right level each session. Cailin is very adept at seeing any issues with my form during movements and helping me to address them.
